First day in Tokyo, its been major!

So today was my first day in Japan,

The flight was pretty good. Very Smooth, Finnair is reasonable. As and added bonus the entertainment selection was so good that I had to treat myself like a child about going to sleep, AND there was no one sitting next to me! Also they served cold green tea as a refreshment. In fact since I've been here I've had more green tea than I've had in the best few months (health boost anyone??) and I've just been really happy and upbeat and amazingly just going and going and going.

Today I saw Ginza, Shibuya and Asakusa. I feel like it was great to do some quick skimming and discover a few things. I actually found an awesome little gallery in Ginza where the artist happened to be present and got a pic with him. Unfortunately we didn't really get to talk though. I got his contact info and will post about what I saw at the exhibition soon.
It was awesome to see all of the stores I've ever heard of crammed into one place. But not fun like, Yay! this is so cool kind of fun. That was Asakusa:

Long time, no be.

I haven't written for a long time, at least not before my trip so a bit over a month I guess it has been. I sort of stopped writing when I realized my co was reading pretty regularly and I got shy.

I feel a little better now, and even though maybe no one else reads of knows about this blog maybe I will just keep it up because I like to blog, I want to blog, and I think I've come up with a pretty sweet address so I'm gonna keep it...

Anyway I am doing and internship at gallery/book store, and it's really cool because here was have zines and stuff which I can read all day. I've gotten into some of them and it's been nice. I discovered that we even have one book that is a publication of Wesley Willis' drawings. I was pretty blown away and excited about finding it, because when I was in highschool I was pretty into his music, and saw him live, but I never knew he drew also. It's amazing how some people, just being so much in their own world can create the most bizzare and amazing stuff.

Admittedly I got annoyed about the whole Wesley Willis cult thing because I thought it was really racist and exploitive. I wish I had discovered his drawings earlier, but it was a pleasent surprise anyway.

First Saturday

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday.

I'm thinking about lot's of things. I have to do a little bit of stuff. In a minute.. I have been having flu, but then it got better. Yesterday I was in bed a lot. Thanks to my boss for getting rid of me early yesterday!

Nice, Sarah just stopped by. Lol. That really improved my mood. I was about to go on about all those woulda' coulda' shoulda's out there in my history but now I feel a little bit better. A bit more calm and forward thinking.
It's funny because I am sort of trying to edge into using lots of Finnish. I feel sort of confident and really scared, but I am managing.

Hmmm. I wonder what I should do this afternoon. I am feeling well but not well enough to go wandering around or anything like that. Just well enough not to be in bed. And I don't want to be sitting at home cleaning or being cold because my place needs some air... Saturday, saturday, saturday, oh what have you become?

P.s. for more information about my prince: Things are going good, we have been going, and it has been good. We have been talking, and talking makes a difference. It also makes a big difference that it feels like we are talking about the right things at the right time. I dunno. Things are going.

Also I found this interesting piece about relationships that was part of the UCLA MFA show, check it out: http://the-flog.com/2009/11/ucla-mfa-2010-exhibition/
